In efforts to assist our members facing hardships we’ve rolled out our Food Pantry Program in each of our schools to provide our families with food aid relief during times of need.
Acts 20:35 “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
To ensure we provide our families with safe and nutritious food products and also avoid allergic reactions, we have compiled 2 separate lists of food items that can and cannot be donated.
OK to donate:
- Canned meat (chicken, stews, chili)
- Canned fish (tuna in water, salmon)
- Soup (meat, vegetables
- Canned fruits in juice and canned vegetables (corn, green beans, chickpeas)
- Peanut butter
- Pasta
- Rice
- Dry and/or canned beans
- Cereal
- Apple sauce
- Instant oatmeal
- Flour
- Powdered milk
- Oil
- Salt and pepper
NOT ok to donate:
- Non-Kosher
- Expired
- Not in original package, not labeled or illegible labels (hard to read)
- Baked goods and home cooked meals
- Damaged packaging such as bloated or dented cans or packaged in glass
- Food that needs to be refrigerated or frozen (perishable)
IMPORTANT:
Most of our schools accept both monetary and food product donations. Some accept monetary donations only. If you would like to donate or if you are a member who needs food aid relief, please reach out to your local camp leader for assistance and information.
